From May 7th to 11th,2023, More than 40 Libyan academics coming to Lecce Sunday evening for a week-long training at UniSalento within the ERASMUS + IBTIKAR project. Ibtikar is an Arabic word meaning "innovation". UNIMED Union of Mediterranean Universities. It is an honour for our department to visit our laboratory. We show what we are doing in areas such as energy, sustainability, energy transition and ICT. And again a thriving structure in our region: Botanical Garden, Environmental Museum, Aquatin, ISAC CNR Research Institute, NANOTEC Research Institute, Dhitech Research Institute. The political value of the IBTIKAR project is strategic. As part of the ERASMUS program, it focuses on the restructuring of the Libyan university system. In particular, UniSalento coordinates research agendas and white papers to bring Libyan and European politics to the fore.
