Misurata | May 18, 2025: Today, Sunday, the Faculty of Arts - Department of Archaeology and Tourism at Misurata University held an event to mark International Museum Day. The event was attended by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs for the Faculties of Humanities, the Dean of the Faculty, the Director of the Misurata Meteorological Station, the heads of the faculty`s academic departments, and a number of students and those interested in heritage and culture.
This event comes as part of the annual celebration of museums, aiming to highlight the importance of museums and their pivotal role in preserving societies` cultural and civilizational heritage, as well as to promote a culture of knowledge exchange through the exhibits offered at these cultural institutions.
The event also aims to highlight the role of museums in raising awareness within communities of their importance, through organizing workshops, seminars, and various exhibitions that highlight local and regional heritage.
